For the past week, every time I find myself sitting in this class, I ask myself, "why am I here?" I could be using this hour and a half to be studying for ochem or genetics, or even be working out at RIMAC. I'm not taking this class for a grade, only for a pass/no pass. Most of my classmates speak better Mandarin than I do, quite intimidating.
So, what the hey, right?
And then it hits me.
"You're taking it so you can push yourself beyond your comfort zone. Oh yeah, and that letter of rec, too. Remember?"
I eventually want to study abroad, and Qin Laoshi is the perfect professor for writing my letter of recommendation. She might be one of the few profs whom I truly respect. What better candidate for me to ask!
As to the comfort zone thing: if I don't stumble or trip in life, how will I learn?
Writing it all down, so I won't forget...
