Definitely goes under the 'wet' category amongst Ben & Jerry's ice creams.
Texture: Creamy, very smooth, a bit too 'wet' due to the marzipan syrup.
Taste: first, you get a subtle sweetness coming from the sweet cream ice cream, then an intense burst of marzipan flavor from the syrup. As the intensity of the marzipan slowly fades, you are left with an almost stale raw cookie dough aftertaste.
Overall impression: the texture was too smooth, almost reaching the liquid threshold. Flavor was too strong, especially the marzipan swirl: it was way too sweet for my tastes. The almond cookies didn't help either; while I enjoyed the chewiness, the flavor was a bit of a disappointment.
All in all, this flavor deserves nothing more than a 4 out of 10.

B&J ice cream flavors are usually on the sweeter side with their doughy, creamy, syrupy tastes mainly because B&J try to mix different kinds of tastes in one tub of ice cream- brownies and chocolate chips and cheesecake and caramel and whatnot. Sometimes all those sweets combined can be overwhelming after couple of spoonfuls. For a more subtle sweetness I think single flavored ice cream is the way to go. Haagen Dazs is quite good at making semi-sweet single flavored ice cream. Maybe one day when you are done with you B&J adventure we can embark on a Haagen Dazs tasting trip. :D
I've actually thought about doing a Haagen Dazs series... Maybe I'll start one of these days when I start craving for Rum Raisin again...
