Soowon Galbi KBBQ [Los Angeles, CA]

Panchan (Potatoes)

Thinly-Sliced Rib Eye

Sizzling Grill

Albert, Atsushi, & Soju

Saturday was a day dedicated almost entirely to the Tao Wadaiko concert @ Luckman Theater (CSULA). For all you non-taiko'ers, Tao Wadaiko is a drumming group from Japan, and just so happens to be my favorite of them all. If you don't know what taiko is, you can do yourself a favor and googre it :]

Anyway, we bought the tickets a month in advance, but didn't actually arrange for a place to eat together until we were making our way up to LA. The fact is, everyone in my taiko group likes Korean BBQ. The other fact: we were headed up to K-town Land. Take one and add it to the other and you guessed it, KBBQ IN KTOWN, WOOO!

Although Soowon isn't an all-you-can-eat joint, it was the best KBBQ I've ever had. The meat: AMAZING. Top quality stuff. For $20, I got incredibly full off of fresh superb meats, plentiful amounts of panchan, and even had the option of drinking soju. YELP!

My standards have been rocked. No more AYCE KBBQ for me!
