





After much research and consideration, I finally bought a L'equip dehydrator.
While it isn't as well known of a dehydrator as the Excalibers I've been eying, its design is similar, the only difference being the location of the fan (bottom-mount). I've already dehydrated some brisket, clementines, and re-dehydrated a handful of Craisins (because I just can't stand that overly sweet and oily thing they call a cranberry). Not sure how this machine will hold up over the course of time, but it reassuringly has a 12-year warranty. I've already begun working on some pork jerky, adapting an Alton Brown recipe, and will post the results up when they finish.
