Nostalgia... And Anthony Bourdain?

For the past two weeks or so, I've been stuck in Hong Kong-nostalgia-mode, helplessly scouring the interwebs for that familiar sweat-inducing climate, the uniquely delicious street foods, and that magical feeling of growing up in Hong Kong; all to no avail. The thing that came closest was re-watching Anthony Bourdain's Hong Kong episode on Youtube for what probably is the Nth time. Have I never ACTUALLY mentioned Anthony Bourdain in my posts before?

PREPOSTEROUS

I should show you the Anthony Bourdain shrine I erected in the middle of my room.
Joking, joking. How ridiculous would that be anyway...

ANYWAY, he is amongst the very few celebrities who I truly respect. Being an extremely down-to-earth, incredibly open, subtly humorous, pork-loving, humble example of a man (chef, even!), spending time with Tony's "No Reservations" has taken up much of my free time for the past two months. You won't usually catch me watching television, but this is an exception. There's just something about his poetic narratives that draws me back to his show time and time again. When I first started watching "No Reservations", I told myself, "eh, watching these Asian episodes is the only reason to even consider the show." But, now that I've pretty much seen all the web-available episodes, I spend my days longing for the new episode that gets uploaded weekly.

Watching this show is like traveling without getting out of your bed.
It's like crack, I swear.

Edit: Best line... ever.
"I said sauce on the side."
