It was an intense hour and half of organic chemistry reactions, drawing out mechanism after mechanism with my trusty black Pilot pen. I don't quite remember when I got this pen, but it was from my parents' Hong Kong trip a couple of years back. Sadly, I couldn't go because of classes so I had asked of them to bring back a couple of writing utensils. They unconditionally obliged, bringing back a handful of black and blue pens of varying brands and types. Upon receiving them, I quickly and easily found my favorite: the Pilot Super Grip FINE. It was the finesse of the thing, both agile and flowy, never scratchy; I soon brought it with me everywhere.
And so its life ends, almost with an iconic exit, as I used it to ink out the last benzene ring of the final remaining problem. I was frustrated as the drawing was faint, but more so, felt a sense of remorse as I walked out the lecture hall, almost as if a close acquaintance had just passed away.

replace the ink?
To be honest, didn't think of that as I never replace the ink in my pens. Kudos, ML, good sir.
