Weight: 149.1lbs
I had a craving for steak (iron deficiency?) so I rushed to my local supermarket and bought a half pound steak. I ate it with a side of pan-fried brussels sprouts and steamed broccoli:

While eating, I came across this video on MDA: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NSoRcqUeMYw&feature=player_embedded
One link led to another and after watching what seemed to be an inordinate amount of Crossfit videos, I decided to sit down and patiently read about it.
I've seen Crossfit being mentioned in a handful of health/fitness articles and videos but had just been turned off by the convoluted, myriad-inspired web layout; so I never fully understood what it was all about... Until today
What it is:
Crossfit is, roughly speaking, a strength/conditioning program that reaches out to hundreds upon thousands of people through the internet on a daily basis.
A more in-depth look into the program and one will find a vibrant community of Crossfitters. Actually, in my eyes, Crossfit is, first and foremost, a community. Sure, there are daily workouts (WOD), competitions, and tons of very helpful articles on technique, but what really makes it work is the knowledge that other people are suffering alongside you, doing the same WOD, all for a final total time. This allows you to check your progress against your Crossfittin' neighbor, your spiteful nemesis, and even Jessica Biel. Talk about motivation. I don't think anything sums it up quite as nicely as this quote: "collective suffering has a tendency to bring people together.”
So, I've decided to try it out for a couple days and see how it feels to do the same workout as thousands of other people around the world.
I think I'll start with a timed 150 Burpees tonight and begin actual WOD's tomorrow.
Looking forward to it!
EDIT:
150 Burpees - 14:53
So out of shape.
