Health [100504]

Just finished a half-assed 5.10 workout after realizing my back was too sore for McGhee. I cut out the free weight part of the workout but stayed on top of everything else - not as much rest as usual. Haven't done it in 3 weeks, so it definitely kicked my ass.

I realize the 5.10 is a good gauge of cardiovascular capacity, and mine is absolutely horrible.

Had a huge bowl of oatmeal with flax and almond butter this morning (8:45am), then snacked on some home-made granola with peanuts and dried berries at around 11:45am. I was hoping for all the carbs to provide me with sufficient energy to take on the workouts, but to my surprise, I felt way more sluggish than normal. Maybe it was from the lack of carbs I had last night along with the pre-bedtime run I went on?
I'm not sure, but in the future, I won't place as heavy an emphasis on the correlation between my energy level and what I take in; just don't think about it, eat and be happy.

Weight: 145.8 (Lost so much over the race weekend. I'm sure it was all muscle mass -sad face-)
